Viz Launches New Web Site

On Friday, January 22, Visitation Academy launched a new Web site to make information more accessible to students, parents, faculty, staff, alumnae and prospective families.

Some of the improvements include:

  • a brand new online calendar that will contain all pertinent event information in one central location. Beginning this week, the GroupFusion calendar on the old "intranet" site is no longer being updated. Be sure to bookmark the link to the new calendar, which is also accessible from the top of the new Viz home page.
  • a "take me to" menu in the upper-right corner of the screen, which connects users to frequently-accessed resources such as their Viz e-mail, Moodle, NetClassroom, the library catalog, and the lunch menu.
  • a "news and events" section that will chronicle daily happenings at Viz and include more photos and videos
  • a fully-functioning "search" feature for the site
  • easy to navigate menus, include a main toolbar, site map at the bottom of the home page, and relevant right-hand navigation panels

The new site is continually being updated and improved to best meet the needs of the Visitation community.  In some cases, content from the old site still is being migrated.  Your patience is appreciated as we work to organize and post the information upon which Visitation Academy families continually rely.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions about the Web site, please send them to dkilper@visitationacademy.org.
