Racquetball, Swimming & Diving Finish Strong

Racquetball
The Varsity racquetball team finished its season with an undefeated 10-0 record – a first in Visitation racquetball history.

L. Koller, E. Bumb, J. Roope and K. McCosker (11) all finished their seasons undefeated on an individual level as well.

At the state competition, the Varsity team went on to place first; D. Veit and A. Schwartz both had first place finishes; the doubles team of E. Bumb and J. Roope placed second, and A. Connor finished in 4th.

A. Connor also went on to place fourth at the national competition.

The JV1 racquetball team finished in third at state, with K. McCosker and S. Nemnich placing first, B. Spezia placing third and C. Eschmann placing fourth. 

On the JV2 team, A. Schmittgens, C. McCartney and S. Kelly all had third place finishes.  J. Yu also had a 4th place finish.

The JV3 team competed only in invidual competition.  R. Linsin placed first and E. Allen placed fourth. 



Congratulations are extended to all of Visitation's racquetball teams for an outstanding season.

Swimming and Diving
At the state swimming and diving competition, Varsity swimmers M. Reinker (10), C. Henry (9), M. Harper (12) and N. Crimi (11) broke the school record in the 400-freestyle relay with a time of 3:54.48. M. Reinker also broke the school record in the 100-freestyle from the leadoff in that relay with a time of 55.12. In addition, she broke the school record in the 200-freestyle with a time of 1:55.06 – placing her fourth in state – and broke her own school record in the 500-freestyle with a second place time of 5:02.68.

S. Thorarensen (12), N. Crimi, C. Henry and M. Reinker also unofficially broke the school record in the 200-medley relay – unfortunately, the time was not caught officially by the touch pads.

The Varsity swimming and diving team is congratulated on both a successful season and a record-shattering performance at the state competition.
