Changes to 2010-2011 Calendar Announced

Effective Wednesday, June 9, several revisions have been made to the 2010-2011 school calendar. These changes will allow Visitation Academy to end the school year in May, rather than extending it into the first week of June.

Please note that the revised calendar is different than the "highlights" calendar published in earlier editions of the Viz Vine. Current families are asked to take note of these changes.

Changes include:
 

• Lower School fall conferences (and the accompanying Lower School early dismissal day) have been moved from November 3-5 to November 10-12; Upper School fall conferences (and the accompanying early dismissal day) remain scheduled for November 4-5.

• The Safari holiday has been deleted from the calendar; classes will be held on Monday, March 7.

• Easter Break has been shortened by one day; classes now will resume on Tuesday, April 26 (previously Wednesday, April 27)

• Graduation takes place on Thursday, May 19 rather than Wednesday, May 18. Alumnae Induction and Maypole will follow on Friday, May 20.

• The last day of classes will be Friday, May 27 (previously Thursday, June 2).
