Grades 7 - 12
To be considered for admission to Grades 7-12 for the 2012-2013 school year, the following steps must be completed between September 1, 2011 and January 20, 2012.Note that applicants to Grade 9 must submit the Academy's online application and the special form for the St. Louis Archdiocese by November 15, 2011. Grade 9 applicants should call the admission office for special instructions; their decision letters will be mailed on February 3, 2012.
Submit the online application via Visitation's SSAT form after September 1. Note that you must first create an account with SSAT (if you have not already done so) before logging in to the application itself. Do not forget to also print and complete Visitation's supplement, which is required. If you require a paper copy of the application, contact the Admission Office at (314) 625-9103.
Then, pay the application fee of $75. Payment must be made online at the time of application directly to SSAT.
Print a copy of the academic record form (accessible from within the online application) and forward it to your current school's office. Your school will need to send a transcript - complete with three years of report cards and three years of standardized testing - directly to SSAT at the following address: SSAT Application Processing, CN 5339, Princeton, NJ 08543.
Please note that Visitation's three-year requirement differs from the instructions that appear on the standard academic record form. Each applicant is strongly encouraged to verify that her current school is submitting the proper information.
Print copies of only one of the recommendation forms (math, English, principal/head/counselor) and forward it to the appropriate person at your current school. Note that you only need to submit one of the three.
The forms are confidential and should be returned by the teachers directly to SSAT at the following address: SSAT Application Processing, CN 5339, Princeton, NJ 08543.
Note that the "Student Mathematical Background" section of the math form applies only to applicants for grades 9 - 12.
Schedule a student visit. Applicants are required to spend a full day on campus from 7:50 a.m. until 3 p.m., during which time they will attend classes with a host student and enjoy lunch with classmates. Call (314) 625-9103 to schedule.

Sit for an entrance evaluation. Applicants to Grades 7 and 8 must sit for the Secondary Schools Admission Test (SSAT) on one of the nationally administered test dates. Register online at www.ssat.org. Please choose the date and test center that is most convenient to the applicant's schedule, bearing in mind that applications must be completed by January 20. Use Visitation's school code (7975) when registering to ensure that your results are sent to the Academy. No entrance examination is required for applicants to Grades 9-12.
