LOWER SCHOOL (Girls Grades 1-6):
Admission Procedure

The Admission procedure begins when the Admission Office receives your completed application which can be submitted electronically by clicking Apply Online. A paper application, included in our Admission Brochure, can be submitted by mail. The Admission Brochure can be obtained by:
Attending an Open House Program, on either Sunday, October 21; presentation begins promptly at 1 p.m., or Sunday, November 4, 2007 from 12-4 p.m.
Calling the Admission Office at 314-625-9103
Submitting a request on the Visitation web site by clicking Request More Information
Attending area High School Nights, or attending Secondary School Night, on Monday, October 22 at 7 p.m.

To be considered as an applicant for the 2008-2009 school year, the following steps must be completed by January 25, 2008:

APPLICATION FORM AND FEES
Begin the application process by submitting an application and $75 application fee.

The application for Montessori Toddler Program – Grade 4 can be submitted electronically by clicking Apply Online above. A paper application, included in our Admission Brochure, can be submitted by mail.

Parents of applicants for Grades 5 and 6 should use the Independent Schools of St. Louis (ISSL) Common Application which can be submitted electronically by clicking Apply Online above. A paper application, included in our Admission Brochure, can be submitted by mail.

Students applying for Grades 5 and 6 must complete the student portion (Section B) of the application. The student form (Section B) can be submitted electronically or by mail.

STUDENT VISIT/PARENT CONFERENCE
Contact the Admission Office at 314-625-9103 to schedule both the student visit and parent conference. Children applying for Grades 1-4 will have a morning visit and stay through lunch. Children applying for Grades 5 and 6 will have a full-day visit. They will attend classes with a host student, and enjoy lunch. Parents may schedule their admission conference for the same day.

TRANSCRIPT RELEASE FORM
Complete the Transcript Release Form, available online or in the Admission Brochure, forward the form to your child’s current school office. The school will then forward your child's transcript directly to:

TEACHER RECOMMENDATION FORM
Forward the Teacher Recommendation Form (Section D), available online or in the Admission Brochure, to your daughter's math and English teachers. Recommendations are confidential. They should be filled out by the math and English teachers and returned directly to the address below. If this applies to one teacher, you may give the second recommendation to the math and English teacher from the previous year.

ENTRANCE EVALUATION
Children applying for Grades 1-4 – Assessments administered on student visiting day.

Children applying for Grades 5 and 6 sit for the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Three-week advanced registration is required and available by phone (1-800-446-0320), fax, mail or online at www.iseetest.org. Printed material on the ISEE is available at High School Nights, Secondary School Night or from any ISSL member school. The ISEE is offered at Visitation Academy on Saturday, January 12, 2008. When registering for the ISEE, please include our School Code (263788) to ensure your daughter’s test results are forwarded to our Admission Office. The ISEE is administered at additional sites on other dates. For more information you may visit the ISEE web site at www.independentschools.org.

Deadline for the admission process is January 25, 2008. Student visit and parent conference should be completed and paperwork received by this date to ensure the Admission Committee can properly review the student’s application. Decision letters are mailed in mid-March.

Applications received after January 25, 2008 will be considered on an individual basis, if spaces are available.
