Tickets are $12 each or $20 when purchasing a ticket to both shows.
"The Surfin' Safari auction will be held March 3. We need as many student volunteers as possible that evening. Student volunteer sign up for 7th through 12th grade will take place today, Jan.31st, during class meetings.

The Princeton Prize in Race Relations recognizes students who are helping improve race relations in their school or community. Winners of the Princeton Prize in Race Relations are awarded up to $1,000 and invited to Princeton University for an expense-paid weekend symposium on race. Many programs that will be in the announcements or on the bulletin board in the Counseling Hallway are popular and fill up quickly. Some programs are competitive and your application must be accepted by the program directors. Summer opportunities are listed in Naviance under Colleges, then Enrichment Programs. Several will be highlighted in the announcement as application deadlines approach.
University of Missouri School of Medicine offers the MU High School Mini Medical School – a one week program on campus in Columbia, MO. This program is for students who will begin senior year in Fall 2012. Interested Juniors can find more info and the application at: http://medicine.missouri.edu/admissions/minimed.html. The application deadline is March 1.
Missouri Innovation Academy is a 3 week summer academy at Missouri State University for sophomores and juniors that will merge the passions for business and science and technology. Fifty students will be chosen from all that apply. Tuition is $1,500 and scholarships are available. The Academy runs from June 10 – June 30. Applications are available in the Counseling Center or online at www.missouristate.edu/mia. The application deadline is February 15th.

Saint Michael’s College (Colchester, VT) offers the Edmundite Scholarship to students applying to Saint Michael’s from Catholic high schools. The scholarship is worth $5000 per year. You must apply to the college and have a nomination form submitted by February 1. See your counselor for details.
KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program offers scholarships up to $20,000. The scholarship is offered to students with financial need and an entrepreneurial spirit. You must enroll in a public college in your state of residence to receive an award. Applications will be accepted online December 1, 2011- February 8, 2012 at www.kfcscholars.org.

The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholars Program offers 20 college bound students $10,000 renewable scholarships. See the poster on the Scholarship bulletin board for more details. Visit www.reaganfoundation.org/scholarships to apply. The deadline is February 17.
Applications are being accepted online for the Buick Achievers Scholarship Program until February 29. Awards are up to $25,000 a year. This scholarship is for students who will major in engineering, technology, design or business, with an interest in the auto industry. See the website: www.buickachievers.com.
Applications for the Electro Savings Credit Union Edward G. Halliburton Scholarship will be available online January 2, 2012. This scholarship is offered to seniors in high school. To apply, the student or her parent must be a member of Electro Savings Credit Union for at least one year. This means that you need to take care of this as a Junior in order to apply as a senior! Seniors, if you or your parents are members of the credit union, you may apply until the deadline of February 29, 2012.

KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program offers scholarships up to $20,000. The scholarship is offered to students with financial need and an entrepreneurial spirit. You must enroll in a public college in your state of residence to receive an award. Applications will be accepted online December 1, 2011- February 8, 2012 at www.kfcscholars.org.
Best Buy offers a scholarship program that will award 1,200 $1,000 scholarships. See the poster on the Scholarship bulletin board in the Counseling Hallway for more details or go to www.bestbuy-communityrelations.com for more info and to apply. The application deadline is February 15.
Missouri Innovation Academy is a 3 week summer academy at Missouri State University for sophomores and juniors that will merge the passions for business and science and technology. Fifty students will be chosen from all that apply. Tuition is $1,500 and scholarships are available. The Academy runs from June 10 – June 30. Applications are available in the Counseling Center or online at www.missouristate.edu/mia. The application deadline is February 15th.
Applications are being accepted for the Asian Pacific Islanders for Professional and Community Advancement of AT&T online through February 15. Ten $2000 scholarships will be awarded. Any student may apply for this scholarship. You will need to arrange for a letter of recommendation and your transcript to be sent electronically as well. FRESHMEN – JUNIORS:
Western Catholic Union offers $1000 scholarships to Catholic high school students to continue their Catholic high school educations. To be eligible, you and at least one of your parents must be a WCU life or annuity member. The application is available in the Counseling Center. Apps should be turned in to your counselor by February 17.

Applications are being accepted online for the Buick Achievers Scholarship Program until February 29. Awards are up to $25,000 a year. To apply, the student or her parent must be a member of Electro Savings Credit Union for at least one year. This means that you need to take care of this as a Junior in order to apply as a senior! Seniors, if you or your parents are members of the credit union, you may apply until the deadline of February 29, 2012.
