2006 - 2007 ATHLETIC AWARDS

Golf

Three players were named to the MWAA All-Conference Teams. Catherine Dinkins (12) and Ali Arends (10) were named to the Second Team All-Conference. Rachel Randazzo (11) was named to the Honorable Mention Team All-Conference.

Volleyball

After winning their district championship, the volleyball team advanced to the quarterfinal round of the state tournament.

Six girls were named to the MWAA All-Conference Teams. Megan Thornberry (12), Maddie Sciortino (12) and Annmarie Behr (12) were all named to the First Team All-Conference. Emily Charnowski (11) and Mercedes Pohl (12) were named to the Second Team, and Sapna Chilakamarri (12) was named to the Honorable Mention Team All-Conference.

Tennis

The team advanced to the quarter final round of the state tournament before losing to MICDS 4-5.

Six players were named to the MWAA All-Conference Teams. Courtney Reeve (12), Jenny Wachtman (11) and Corinne Walther (10) were all named to the First Team All-Conference; in addition, Kit Baber (12), Katie Burns (11) and Molly Durnien (11) were named to the Second Team.

Softball

The Softball Team won its fifth straight district championship!

Four players were named to the MWAA All-Conference First Team: Mariclaire Rebman (12), Alex Casten (12), Amy Oslica (12), and Vickie McDonald (11). Three were named to the Second Team: Erica Taschler (11), Elizabeth Knight (12), Rachel Will (10)

Mariclaire Rebman (12) and Vicki MacDonald (11) were named to the All-Metro Honorable Mention Team.

Alex Casten (12), Mariclaire Rebman (12), and Vicki MacDonald (11) were named to the All-Region Team.

Field Hockey

Lauren Beard (12) was named to the MWAA All-Conference First Team. In addition, Sunny Unnerstall (11) was named to the Second Team, and Amy Reagan (11) was named to the Honorable Mention Team.

Swimming

The swim team had a strong showing at state—fourth in small schools; 23rd overall. The team includes: Anna Boudoures (11), Catherine Dinkins (12), Kathryn Ferrara (12), Molly Harper (9), Courtney Hogan (11), Kim Mehan (11), Meghan Mehan (12), Erika Mortenson (11) and Sandra Thorarenson (9). Erika Mortenson (11) secured an inidvidual fifth place finish in 500 freestyle.

Courtney Hogan (11) and Erika Mortenson (11) each made First Team All-Conference in swimming.

Cross Country

Two runners were named to MWAA All-Conference Teams. Allison Wilke (9) was named to the First Team and Ryan Leifield (11) was named to the Second Team.

Racquetball

Jaime Fredericks (12) won the consolation bracket of the Top Seed Racquetball Tournament.

Alex Casten (12) and Noelle Fosko (11) took third place in their respective divisions at the State Racquetball Tournament.

Jaime Fredericks (12) was named to the Second Team All-Stars and Amy Reagan (11) was named to the Honorable Mention All-Star Team.

Soccer

After winning their district with a season record of 13-9-2, the Vivettes advanced to the Semi-Final round of the state tournament before losing in overtime to Notre Dame de Sion.

5th Grade White Volleyball

The 5th Grade White Volleyball team was crowned CYC South Central Volleyball District Champions on Nov. 19 at Holy Redeemer. Coach Mike Heim and Coach John Moran’s team defeated St. Paul in two games to capture the title. The Vivettes finished their season with a league record of 23 - 7 and an overall record of 29 – 9.

4th Grade Red Basketball

The 4th grade Red team won their division title in the CYC West County District Basketball League. The team finished the season undefeated with a record of 10-0!

6th Grade Red Basketball

The 6th grade Red team won their division title in the CYC West County District Basketball League, after finishing up the season undefeated with a record of 10-0!

7AA Basketball

The 7AA Basketball team placed second in the CYC Archidiocesean Championship Tournament. The Vivettes defeated St. Rose Phillipine Duchesne in the first round game 37 – 32. In the semi-final game, the Vivettes defeated St. Joseph of Manchester 40 - 14. The Vivettes battled hard for the Championship, but lost a close game to Holy Spirit, 28 - 33.
