Fall 2010 Season
Grades 1-8 Track Team Finishes Successful Season
The 1st-8th Grade Track Team concluded a very successful season at this past weekend's CYC track meet.
44 of the 65 Viz girls on the team qualified to participate in the final day of competition. In addition, thirteen Visitation athletes won awards at the championship.
Seventh grader J. Small finished 2nd in the 100-meter dash and 1st in the high jump, and seventh grader V. Mueller finished 3rd in the 100-meter dash. J. Small won a total of three medals and finished in the top three in all of her events.
Fifth grader S. Cooke finished 2nd in the 800-meter dash and 5th in the 4x100 meter relay, while seventh grader K. Montebello finished 3rd in the 800-meter dash. 7th grader S. Fortune had a 3rd place finish in the 4x100 meter relay as well.
Despite a weekend of rainy weather, the Viz girls and their parents showed up in full force to support the team and make the final meet a success.
The Visitation community congratulates the entire team on a job well done.
