Philanthropic support is the backbone of every independent school. Visitation Academy is blessed to have a multitude of benefactors who support the school in a variety of ways.
Because tuition and endowment revenues only partially cover regular operating expenses, the Annual Fund is vitally important in providing much needed supplemental revenue. Gifts from parents, alumnae, parents of alumnae, grandparents, faculty, staff and friends make a strong impact on the operational budget of the school. These gifts provide funds to enhance all departments within the school as well as the physical plant. Such contributions help bridge the gap between the cost of tuition and the cost of a Visitation education, making tuition more affordable for all students.
Donors may also direct their gifts to endowment or scholarship funds. Capital gifts, such as those received during the Legacy Campaign, helped modernize and expand Visitation's physical plant.
Through planned giving, friends of Visitation may leave a testamentary gift to the school in their will or estate plan.
