Why is it important?
Visitation parents maintain a strong, supportive alliance with the school. Led by the Visitation Fathers Club, the goal of the parent appeal is 100% participation from all families within the school. Funds realized help bridge the gap between the cost of tuition and the cost of a Visitation education.
Like other private, Catholic schools, Visitation receives no financial support from taxes. Our students are precious; they deserve the best. Therefore, in order to sustain our mission and keep tuition under control, gifts to the Annual Fund are important and help provide:
Recruitment and retention of talented teachers. |
Safe and modern facilities. |
Small classes. |
Exceptional curriculum. |
Innovative technology. |
Professional development for faculty. |
When do we give?
Every fall Visitation families are asked for an Annual Fund contribution to meet two goals a budgeted gross dollar amount and a participation goal. We take great pride in the fact that most of our families consider the Annual Fund a philanthropic priority and make gifts to this important endeavor.
How much should we give?
The size of the gift should be a reflection of the family's ability to give. Those who have been financially blessed are asked to consider fulfilling the gap between the cost of tuition and the actual cost of educating a student. Some families fulfill the gap themselves as well as for another family with less discretionary resources. Families whose children receive financial aid are asked to contribute a small gift to help the class fulfill the participation goal.
