Saint Louis Visitation Association of Christian Faithful (ACF)

In 2003, recognizing religious vocations were declining and the laity’s increasing call to ministry, the Sisters developed the Saint Louis Visitation Association of Christian Faithful (ACF) to share their mission and help carry forward the Salesian charism. The ACF is approved by the Archbishop of St. Louis and is an established part of Catholic Church structure.

Members of the ACF are practicing Catholics who participate in Salesian formation and have an affiliation with Visitation. The ACF is composed of the Sisters, former faculty, alumnae, past parents, and grandparents. They are a community of servant leaders who have made long-term commitments to living a lifestyle rooted in Salesian spirituality and to serve side by side with the Visitation Sisters to continue their educational and religious ministry in the spirit of St. Francis de Sales and St. Jane de Chantal.

The ACF shares the duties of sponsorship with the Sisters as co-sponsors for Visitation Academy. They also provide ongoing Salesian programs, spiritual enrichment, and collaborative support for the Academy and the community.

The ACF hosts two programs each month for the Visitation community:
Salesian Conversations:
Date:    Second Wednesday of the month when school is in session
Time:    8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
Location: Jane’s Place

The purpose of this group is to provide heart-to-heart connections among Visitation community members, modeled after the connection between Mary and Elizabeth at the Visitation. This is the fourth year of the program. This year, we are studying St. Jane de Chantal.  No preparation is necessary! All are welcome to join us. We encourage participants to come when you can, and as you are! Babies and toddlers are welcome, too.

Visitation Community Prayer:
Date: 4th Wednesday of the month when school is in session
Time: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
Location: Sister’s Prayer Room, 2nd Floor of the Monastery

This prayer group follows an abbreviated version of the Sister’s Morning Prayer. The morning begins with silent prayer to accommodate latecomers. Our service includes prayers for the intentions of the Visitation community. All intentions remain confidential. We follow prayer with a social gathering in Jane’s Place. All are welcome!
