APPLICATION CHECKLIST

STEP 1: SCHEDULE A VIZ-IT DAY

Come VIZ-IT us for a day to get a good sense of what it’s like to be a Vivette. VIZ-IT Days begin at 7:50 a.m. and conclude at 2:00 p.m. On Mondays, VIZ-ITs begin at 8:50 a.m. Please contact the Admission Office to set up a VIZ-IT at (314) 625-9102 or click here to submit a request with up to three of your preferred days. We will accommodate your request the best we can. Please note that Middle School VIZ-IT Days from October 8 through November 16 are only available on Mondays and Thursdays. Parents are encouraged to attend the group parent meeting on the day of your daughter’s VIZ-IT. The meeting begins at 8:00 a.m. and lasts about 45 minutes. If you are not able to attend, but would like to, we are happy to schedule a more convenient time.

STEP 2: SUBMIT AN APPLICATION

Applications are submitted online through the Viz Portal. If this is your first time logging in, please click here, then choose “forgot your login?” and follow the instructions to retrieve your username and choose a password to create your account. If you have any trouble logging in, please contact Stephanie Dolan at (314) 625-9266 or sdolan@visitationacademy.org.

Viz also accepts applications through the Standard Application Online (SAO). If applicants are applying to more than one school or it is more convenient for you to apply through SAO, please click here.

STEP 3: SUBMIT A TRANSCRIPT RELEASE FORM AND TEACHER RECOMMENDATIONS

Please sign and submit the Transcript Release form available here to your daughter’s school. The school will send Viz your daughter’s official transcripts, test scores, and information from the past three years. Please access your daughter’s admission checklist on the Viz Portal to request a math and English teacher recommendation.

Standardized Testing:

Viz no longer requires the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) for middle school applicants. We do require standardized tests like ITBS, MAPS, or ERB. If your daughter has not taken one of these, or you would like to take the SSAT, please visit ssat.org to register. SSAT scores can be sent directly to Viz by entering Visitation Academy as a recipient.

STEP 4: SCHEDULE A FAMILY MEETING

After you’ve applied, you will see a link on your application checklist on the Viz Portal to schedule your Family Meeting with a member of our Admission team.

OPTIONAL TUITION ASSISTANCE ESTIMATE

Visitation Academy is happy to provide an estimate of tuition assistance in advance of the application process. We understand that this may be helpful in your decision. If you feel your financial situation warrants, we encourage you to apply online for tuition assistance prior to December 1. Doing so will allow Visitation Academy to review your tuition assistance application early.

We strive to make the tuition assistance application process comfortable for our families, and please know that your application is confidential. We use School and Student Services (SSS) to process tuition assistance applications and provide preliminary data relative to your family’s financial need. To apply, visit https://sss.secure.force.com/familyportal to complete your Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS). The SSS portal opens October 2, and Visitation Academy’s school code is 1093. If you do not choose to complete your on-line application by December 1, then you should complete it no later than December 31, 2018. Late applicants will be considered if funds remain and may be placed on a waiting list.

Please upload or mail a copy of your 2017 IRS Form 1040 income tax return (including all related schedules and W-2’s) directly to School and Student Services, P.O. Box 449, Randolph, MA 02368-0449 (along with the “Required Documents” cover sheet). Similarly, please also upload or mail a copy of your 2018 IRS Form 1040 income tax return and all related schedules when completed. Tuition assistance awards are contingent upon you providing the required tax documents to this address.

***please note to make sure you are entering information into the 2019-2020 SSS form.
