Here is what senior Theresa Fister had to say about the experience:

“This past weekend my team and I participated in Globalhack VII, which is a coding competition centered around finding solutions to civic problems. This year’s theme was centered around helping immigrants and refugees feel more welcomed in the United States. My team and I built a web app called Compass and the purpose is to help individuals navigate life in America by providing resources for employment, finances, and community. Our web app also included a resume builder and a translation feature to help make the website more accessible. We participated in the college division of hackathon (since one of our team members is a freshman in college) and after three rounds of judging, we placed third out of twenty four teams. The experience was really memorable and it was amazing being surrounded by so many passionate and inspiring people!”
