Middle School Coding Competition

In December, six girls from the 6th grade represented their class at GLOBALHACK’S first Middle School Coding Competition. The girls presented a game they developed in class over the last six weeks. The girls demonstrated their understanding of Python (coding language) by developing a game that included graphics and game strategies. It was an incredible experience for the girls to be the youngest participants demonstrating their understanding of coding concepts to an audience of observers as well as a panel of judges. We are so proud of these girls and all their classmates who contributed code to the game. They are ready to continue developing their game to submit to other competitions. Thanks to Visitation Academy’s Technology Coordinator, Mrs. Sue Andrews, for working with the girls, along with our mentors from GLOBALHACK, Kimberly and Jaydev.
