The theatre program is back and kicking off the year with a timeless classic - The Pajama Game. Awarded a Tony in 1955 for Best Musical, the show features an energetic score brimming with songs and dances that have become musical theatre standards.
A cast of 35 Viz students in Grades 9-12, plus 50 more students backstage, will bring the story to life. Sparks fly between the new superintendent and the leader of the union grievance committee. Their stormy relationship comes to a head when the workers strike for a seven and one-half cent pay increase, setting off a conflict between management and labor and a conflict in the brewing relationship between the two main characters.
