Student Leaders

Viz Middle School Counselor Ashely Giljum has launched an exciting new initiative in the Middle School this year, the Orientation Leader program, to help fifth-grade students with the transition to middle school. Orientation leaders will serve as mentors to the younger students and will collaborate on the creation of tailored lessons and lead large and small group lessons in May. The student-mentors also will serve as leaders during Middle School Orientation in August, assisting all students new to the Viz Middle School.

 

Current seventh-grade students who wanted to be considered submitted applications. The selection team sought motivated, responsible, and well-rounded/involved applicants. Congratulations to the following seventh-grade students who were selected to fill this important leadership role:
