Five Visitation Academy juniors - Tori Brennan, Josie Janisch, Allie Kowalczyk, Ali McDonald, and Rebecca Mooney - were selected to present research summaries at St. Louis University's American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Research Symposium on Saturday, April 1, 2023.

The ASBMB chapter at St. Louis University is dedicated to scientific research and discovery. These ladies had to pass through a nomination, submission of research, and acceptance pathway to be invited to attend the event comprised of about 20 total students from area high schools. The students will give presentations based on scientific literature. A tour of the medical school campus at SLU, including various labs within the Clinical Health Sciences department and Doisy Research Center, will follow the presentations.
