Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

Corrine Runnels (Class of 2027) and her family went on a Catholic pilgrimage to the Holy Land in February, following in the footsteps of Jesus from the annunciation and nativity to the crucifixion and resurrection to appearances of the risen Christ.

 

Corrine wanted to share this meaningful experience with her classmates. On March 7, the eighth-grade class gathered in DeChantal for a presentation, which included highlights from the pilgrimage: the peaceful Sea of Galilee region with the capital of Jesus' ministry in the town of Capernaum, the Garden of Gethsemane, and time spent at the Visitation Church to name a few. While at the Visitation Church, Corinne was invited to do a reading and the intentions during Mass. The congregation knew she was a student from a Visitation school and prayed for our community in St Louis.
