The purpose of the Visitation Mothers’ Club is to promote the welfare of Visitation Academy by cooperating with the Administration and acting as a liaison between home and school. Open to all mothers and guardians of Visitation Academy students, the organization sponsors a wide variety of school activities, providing volunteers as well as funding.
Mothers’ Club members work enthusiastically throughout the school year to plan events, including the Mothers’ Club Welcome, Safari Auction and Day of Recollection, as well as the Upper School Mother/Daughter Mass and Luncheon, Lower School Sock Hop, Senior Lock-in Party, Faculty/Staff Appreciation Luncheon and others. Events sponsored by the Mothers’ Club help to continue many Visitation traditions.
Volunteers serving as Mothers’ Club Representatives are liaisons between the school and their children’s classes. They are listed in the Academy Directory, and mothers may contact them at any time for information. A dynamic group, they welcome questions about school activities.
The Visitation Mothers’ Club encourages all mothers to attend the general meetings and to participate on committees. Lively repartee and a profound sense of accomplishment accompany membership in the organization.
