Upper School sophomores, juniors, and seniors can experience robotics and engineering “up close” by taking our hands-on, project-based robotics and engineering courses, which are held in the dedicated Engineering & Robotics Lab.
Introduction to Engineering is an introduction to basic engineering concepts. Students become familiar with engineering through hands-on applications illustrating engineering concepts, and by building a logical way of thinking about problems and their solutions. Students in the Introduction to Engineering class constructed the frame of a house!
Independent Study Engineering – Robotics continues the skills developed in the Introduction to Engineering course. Students experience the application of theory and practice of robotic engineering while working in a team-based environment. Students participate in robotics competitions.
Independent Study Engineering Applications also continues the skills developed in the Introduction to Engineering course. Students will develop an engineering research topic and design a workable solution, complete with prototypes.
