The goal of the Visual and Performing Arts Department is to enable each
student’s exploration of the arts, recognize and foster artistic
ability, encourage participation and gain an understanding of the arts,
encourage self-expression, and help students develop their creativity in
order to prepare them to meet the challenges of our ever-changing

Congratulations to senior C. Fontana for winning Best in Show-Photography in the 2016 Congressional Art Competition! The 2016 Congressional Art Competition selected 72 amazing entries from talented high school artists across the Second Congressional District of Missouri.

Congratulations to H. Hebrank whose artwork is on exhibit at the St. Louis Art Museum as part of the 2016 Young Artists Exhibition. Students between the ages of 13 and 18 submitted artwork in the 4th Annual Young Artist Exhibition. All submissions reflected the theme of peace. The 2016 Young Artists Exhibition will be on view May 14-September 9, 2016 in the Museum’s Student Gallery.
