At Visitation Academy, athletics are an extension of the educational experience—giving students opportunities to play, compete, grow, and belong. From their first experience on a team through Upper School competition, students build confidence, perseverance, leadership, and friendships while discovering what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves.
With strong participation, new athletic leadership, and exciting facility enhancements ahead, it’s an exciting time to be a Vivette.
Building a Foundation: Lower & Middle School Athletics
In the Lower and Middle Schools, athletics are about learning, having fun, developing skills, and experiencing the value of teamwork. 83% of Lower and Middle School students participate in at least one sport, with 31 teams offering opportunities to get in the game. With a new Lower and Middle School Athletic Director, Viz continues to strengthen and expand opportunities for our younger student-athletes.

Building on a Tradition: Upper School Athletics
In the Upper School, students build on that foundation through a competitive program that challenges them to grow as athletes, teammates, and leaders. 75% of Upper School students participate in at least one sport each year, and 50% compete in two or more. With 26 State Championships across a variety of sports and a new Upper School Athletic Director leading the program, Viz is building on a proud tradition while looking toward an exciting future.

Coming Fall 2027: An Enhanced Home for Viz Athletics
Plans are underway to transform the Lower Field into a dynamic new home for Viz Athletics—supporting our student-athletes while elevating the game-day experience for the entire community.
The revitalized Lower Field will feature:
• State-of-the-art synthetic turf featuring Shaw Sports Turf GameOn Legion slit/mono blend with a Schmitz Foam Sports Shock Pad for enhanced performance, safety, and more consistent year-round play
• A dedicated turf training area to support student-athlete development
• A new press box to enhance the game-day experience
• Expanded and upgraded bleachers to welcome even more Vivette fans
And We’re Just Getting Started
With new leadership, growing opportunities, and continued investment in programs and facilities across divisions, the future of Viz Athletics is taking shape.
