Viz Theatre Director Marty Strohmeyer Honored with Inaugural Inspiring Teacher Award
Visitation Academy is proud to announce that Theatre Director Marty Strohmeyer has been named the recipient of the inaugural Inspiring Teacher Award, presented at the 2025 St. Louis High School Musical Theatre Awards.
This prestigious new award recognizes educators who have made a significant impact on their students’ artistic journeys. Unlike other honors, the Inspiring Teacher Award is uniquely student-nominated—highlighting the powerful role teachers play in shaping not just performances, but young lives.
Mr. Strohmeyer was nominated by Jane N., Class of 2025, in recognition of his excellence in theatre education and his dedication to creating meaningful, high-quality productions at Viz.
Through his work both on and off the stage, Mr. Strohmeyer has inspired generations of Vivettes to grow as performers, collaborators, and confident storytellers. His passion for the performing arts continues to leave a lasting impression on the entire Viz community.
We congratulate Mr. Strohmeyer on this well-deserved recognition and celebrate his profound impact on young artists and the broader theatre community.
