Viz Celebrates Two National Merit Finalists in the Class of 2026
Visitation Academy is proud to announce that seniors Amaya K. ’26 and Caroline B. ’26 have been recognized as National Merit Finalists, one of the nation’s most prestigious academic honors.
The pair scored in the top 1% on the PSAT/NMSQT as juniors and were selected from approximately 16,000 National Merit Semifinalists nationwide because of their exceptional academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and leadership throughout their time at Viz.
Earlier this year, Amaya and Caroline were named National Merit Semifinalists based on their outstanding PSAT performance, placing them among the highest-scoring students in the country. Their advancement to Finalist standing represents an even more significant milestone in the National Merit Scholarship Program.
As National Merit Finalists, they are now eligible to compete for National Merit Scholarships, awarded to a select group of the nation’s most accomplished students. This recognition reflects Amaya and Caroline’s hard work, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to excellence, and the Visitation Academy community proudly celebrates this remarkable achievement.
Visitation Academy is an independent, private Catholic school offering a coeducational Montessori preschool and Kindergarten program, the area's only all-girl elementary program for Grades 1-5, and an all-girl middle school and all-girl high school.
