Senior Sejal Sekhar volunteered at the Metro Area Professional Organization's (MAPO) fifth annual Holiday Shoutout Drive-By Giveaway held on December 4 at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows. During the event, Sejal spoke to a reporter from The Edwardsville Intelligencer about her motivation and views on giving back to the community. Click here to read the story.

 

As mentioned in the interview, Sejal will attend the United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) this March. Only two students from each state are selected for the trip. USSYP is an intensive week-long educational experience and a $10,000 college scholarship sponsored by the United States Senate for outstanding high school students interested in pursuing careers in public service. Sejal is very excited about this opportunity.
