Hands-On Experience

The varsity basketball team visited the St. Louis County Courts in Clayton, compliments of Dan Stoecklin, Athletic Director Paul Stoecklin's brother. Dan works the Viz home and away basketball games, keeping the official scorebook, but professionally, Dan is a latent examiner.

 

During the visit, Dan showed the girls how fingerprints are collected from crime scenes and processed. The girls collected their fingerprints from different items, and Dan showed them how to search for and locate matches in the system. The girls also saw the evidence room during their visit.
