Billikens and Biology

On Friday, April 14, Visitation Academy AP and College Credit biology students were guests of St. Louis University's 1818 Biology Program. SLU provided a walking tour of campus followed by a biology panel discussion prepared for our Viz students. Panel members, including current first- and fourth-year biology students, shared their experiences and the challenges of transitioning from high school to college.

The day also included a tour of SLU's new biology/engineering building, and Viz students were invited to sit in on a biology 1260 class taught by Dr. Ashley Milam, PhD, Assistant Professor of Biology. Following Dr. Milam's class, SLU provided lunch and swag bags/t-shirts for Viz students. While on campus, the Viz students ran into some Viz graduates who were excited to see Vivettes on campus.
