    Kristina Bealke joined the Upper School English Department in 2010. She teaches English 10 which integrates skills developed in grammar, composition, and literary analysis. Kristina is both a Viz educator and alumna, having graduated as part of the Class of 1998. She continued her studies at Fordham University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English then went on to the University of Missouri-St. Louis where she earned her master’s in Education.

    Heather Benigno joined the Viz Upper School science department in 2015 as our ninth-grade biology teacher. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she also serves as the science department chair and ninth-grade advisor and moderator. Heather is a member of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) and the National Association of Biology Teachers (NABT) and has attended conferences presented by both organizations. She earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Secondary Education and Biology from St. Louis University.

    Linda Benken joined the Viz faculty in 2019 as the After Care coordinator and Lower School aide. In this role, she coordinates the After Care program and assists teachers in the Lower School classrooms. After graduating from Visitation Academy, Linda went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Elementary Education from St. Louis University. She also retains her Missouri teaching certification.

    Dan Berry joined the Viz Health and Wellness Department in 2020, teaching physical education to students in our Montessori program through Grade 6. He also serves at Student Council moderator. Dan is a member of the Missouri Society of Health and Physical Education (MOSHAPE), is certified in CPR, and is a certified Tier One Tactical Active Shooter trainer. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education and an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Southeast Missouri State University.

    Amy Bischoff joined the Viz Montessori faculty in 2011 as the half-day Toddler Assistant, then moved to the full-day Montessori room in 2012. She is a member of and has certification from the American Montessori Society and the United States Association of the Catechesis of the Good Shepard. In 2018, Amy, along with other faculty members in the Viz Montessori, presented at the Midwest Montessori Regional Conference hosted by Hope Montessori Educational Institute. She received her bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and master’s in Elementary Education with Early Childhood focus from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

    Amelia Blanton Hibner joined Viz in 2020, filling the role of director of mission integration. She is responsible for the development, oversight, implementation, and assessment of a comprehensive strategic spiritual formation program, grounded in the Visitation Salesian charism, for Visitation’s faculty, administration, and staff. Amelia has presented at colleges and universities in St. Louis, Los Angeles, and Boston and holds membership in the College Theology Society (CTS) and the National Association for Lay Ministry (NALM). She has served on the process team for the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops (USCCB), Journeying Together 2020: A National Intercultural Encounter for Ministries with Youth and Young Adults; the advisory board for the Catholic Leadership Collaborative in St. Louis, Missouri; and the leadership team for St. Margaret of Scotland Young Adult & Professionals, also in St. Louis. Amelia graduated from Saint Louis University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theology, Communication, went on to earn a Master of Theological Studies from Boston College, and then returned to Saint Louis University to earn her PhD in Higher Education Administration.

    Mary Bodlovich joined the Viz Upper School counseling department in 2015, guiding our Upper School students as they evaluate curriculum options to create their master class schedules and advising them throughout the college selection process. She is a member of several professional organizations including Missouri Association for College Admission Counseling (MOACAC), National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), American School Counselor Association (ASCA), and St. Louis Area College Counselors (SLACC). Mary is also a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Social Work, and is certified by the St. Louis Archdiocese in religious education.

    Doey Boldt joined the Viz Lower School faculty as full-time teacher of our second grade in 2015 after serving as a long-term sub in this classroom and filling in throughout the Lower School on several occasions during the 2014/2015 school year. Her other responsibilities at Viz include Garden Club moderator and FIRST LEGO League Jr. moderator. She also is trained and certified in Daily 5, Kagan, Sitton, and Understanding by Design and coached soccer and volleyball for Grades 1-8 at Mary Queen of Peace. Doey has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Spring Hill College, continuing education classes from Washington University in St. Louis, and was a tutor and learning consultant at previous school.

    Jennifer Bolesta joined the faculty of the Viz Middle School in August 2020, teaching visual arts to students in Grade 6 and Grade 8. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she also serves and a Grade 8 advisor. Jennifer is a member of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education, Missouri Arts Education Association, and National Arts Education Association. She came to Viz from St. Gabriel the Archangel School in St. Louis, having spent 14 years there teaching Kindergarten through eighth grade art. Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Marketing minor from Loyola University of New Orleans and her Art Education Certification, Pre-K-12 from the University of Dallas.

    Chrissy Boyce joined the Viz Upper School counseling department in 2020. In this role, she partners with students at all Upper School grade levels, guiding them throughout their high school experience, both academically and personally. Chrissy is a member of professional organizations including National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and Missouri Association for College Admission Counseling (MOACAC), serving on this organization’s Inclusion, Access, and Success Committee. She has a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology from Marquette University and a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Chrissy also holds a certificate in School Counseling from St. Xavier University in Chicago, Illinois and a Missouri Certificate in School Counseling, K-12.

    Stephanie Braun joined the Viz faculty in 2019. She teaches introduction to pre-algebra to our sixth-grade students and algebra to eighth- and ninth-grade students. She also serves as an eighth-grade coordinator and moderator. In addition to membership in the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), Stephanie is a past math department chair at The Girls' Middle School in Palo Alto, California and has attended four College Preparatory Mathematics Implementation workshops. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from Loyola Marymount University.

    Molly Bryant joined the Viz faculty in 2012, teaching visual and fine arts to students in Grades 8-12. She also serves as the Art Club moderator. Additionally, Molly is a member of the Missouri Art Education Association (MAEA). After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education from Fontbonne University, Molly went on to earn a Master of Arts in Art Education from the University of Missouri, Columbia.

    Jessica Butler joined the Viz faculty in 2019, teaching French to students in Grades 6-11. She also serves the Viz STEM Club and RoboRebels team in an outreach capacity, helping build visibility, supervising volunteer activities, and acquiring hardware and mentors to assist the girls in their robotics competition. Jessica is a member of the Foreign Language Association of Missouri (FLAM) and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Teaching, with K-12 certification in Missouri. She also studied in France at the Université de Caen, Conservatoire Hector Berlioz, and the American School of Modern Music.

    Bev Byrd joined the staff at Viz in 1999, serving as Upper School Technology Coordinator before moving into her current role as Director of Technology. In this position, Bev is charged with developing and implementing strategic vision in all areas of technology across all divisions of the school. She is a member of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and has presented at several conferences including the Midwest Education Technology Community (METC) Conference – 1-to-1 Laptop Programs, OneNote in the Classroom, Technology Directors Round Table; the Lutheran Educators Conference – 1-to-1 Laptop Program; and Edcamp STL - OneNote in the Classroom. Bev also helped the Fort Zumwalt School District integrate various software programs into its curriculum. She graduated from Maryville University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems.
