At Viz, learning goes far beyond the classroom. Through Viz's signature programs, students gain hands-on experience that helps them discover new interests, explore future career paths, and better understand their strengths, passions, and potential.
Through the Fellowship Program, students pursue individualized interests through mentorship, research, internships, and experiential learning opportunities. The Ellen Thomasson Malecek Entrepreneurial Leadership Program encourages students to think creatively, solve problems, and develop practical business and leadership skills through collaborative projects and applied learning. Participation in Global Studies allows students to broaden their perspectives and build meaningful global connections through travel, international partnerships, and immersive cultural experiences.
Alongside these opportunities, during May Term, Grades 9 and 10 students participate in a three-week immersive learning experience that complements the traditional curriculum, allowing them to explore topics in depth through collaboration, real-world application, and hands-on discovery.
These opportunities allow Viz students to try new things, gain confidence through experience, develop independence and leadership skills, and discover what excites and inspires them long before college.
