More Than a Classroom Experience

At Viz, education is about more than academic achievement—it’s about becoming the person you are meant to be. Guided by the Salesian tradition and the words of St. Francis de Sales, “Be Who You Are and Be That Well,” students are encouraged to discover their strengths, deepen their faith, explore their passions, and grow with confidence in every aspect of life.

At Viz, personal growth isn’t treated as separate from academics—it’s woven into every experience, relationship, and opportunity students encounter along the way.

Arts and Athletics

Whether on stage, in the studio, or on the field, Viz students are encouraged to express themselves, compete, collaborate, and grow. Our arts and athletics programs help students build creativity, confidence, teamwork, and resilience while discovering new talents and passions.
Faith and Spiritual Growth

Faith is woven into everyday life at Viz. Through prayer, retreats, liturgies, Campus Ministry, and experiences like Kairos and Salesian Leadership Camp, students develop a deeper relationship with God and their own spirituality, stronger connections with one another, and a lasting foundation rooted in compassion, reflection, and service.
Leadership, Activities, and Traditions

With opportunities ranging from Student Council and Mock Trial to robotics, French Club, theatre, publications, Campus Ministry, and more, students are encouraged to pursue their passions and step confidently into leadership roles. School traditions, retreats, dances, spirit events, and class experiences create lifelong friendships and a strong sense of belonging.
Service With Purpose

Service at Viz goes beyond volunteer hours—it is a core part of a Visitation Academy education. It becomes part of who our students are. Along with meaningful service opportunities for all students each semester, students participate in programs such as the Junior Apostolic Salesian Service Program, an intensive spring commitment during junior year. Seniors continue serving throughout the year while reflecting through class discussions and journals. These experiences foster empathy, purpose, compassion, and a lifelong commitment to serving others well.

Visitation Academy is an independent, private Catholic school offering a coeducational Montessori preschool and Kindergarten program, the area's only all-girl elementary program for Grades 1-5, and an all-girl middle school and all-girl high school.
